Are you struggling to find the best dance events or services for you? The Dance World Directory can help with that.
This new online directory, created with dancers and parents in mind, was formed to help you easily find the right dance services to elevate your skills and ensure you're not missing out on fantastic opportunities. CYD? spoke to The Dance World Directory Founders Mel, Adele and Anne-Marie to find out more about this fundamental platform.
Dance World Directory are focused on four main principles:
Diversity - Our aim is to celebrate and promote the diverse world of creative arts.
Connectivity - Creating an easily navigable pathway between parents, dancers, businesses and organisations.
Inclusivity - Enabling access to opportunities for all.
Fun - We want you to enjoy being a part of the dance world as much as we do!

Mel is an ex-professional dancer, who trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. Mel has her own Dance school, runs dance festivals and is also a dance mum, with one daughter in full time vocational school, The Hammond.
Adele is a dance mum, whose daughter is about to embark on her auditioning journey for dance colleges. Adele has been in the dance world for the past five years and has found navigating her way through websites and social media difficult to gather all the information she needed to help her daughter decide on colleges.
Anne-Marie is an ex-professional dancer, who trained at Stella Mann College and is now a choreographer, dance teacher and deputy principal at a dance school. Anne-Marie runs dance festivals along with being a dance mum.
The Dance World Directory was created based on the idea that currently there is no one-stop platform to search for dance-related services. We found that as dance business owners, teachers and dance parents, that we were having to spend hours scrolling through social media to find up and coming events or services, and potentially not being able to find what we needed, or find that we had missed events that would have been beneficial to our children.
Throughout our various dance endeavours, we found that many parents were feeling overwhelmed with the amount of associate programmes available and what would be best for their child. We had parents asking where they would get a costume made or where to start with making college applications and decisions. This gave us the idea of creating a directory where everything was easily accessible as well as providing guidance and information.

We identified a gap in the market for The Dance World Directory, for anyone within the dance world to be able to easily access services that can help their dancer such as schools, classes, shops, intensives, competitions and conventions etc along with helping dance professionals and dance business owners to fully maximise their services by providing an easily accessible advertising platform.
That everything is accessible in one place and is easy to navigate. We offer a range of packages to suit every business need. We also have a members area for professionals within the industry such as dancers, adjudicators, choreographers, business mentors etc, where for just £2.50 per month they can promote themselves as well as searching jobs, events and other industry information.
Our long-term vision is to make The Dance World Directory global. We know how big the Dance world is across the globe in countries such as the US, Europe, Australia & the UAE.
