Hi, I’m Zoe. I am 17 years old and I’ve been dancing at Stalder Academy in Manchester for 9 years. I love all styles of dance but my favourite has to be jazz. I’m super grateful to have been given this opportunity to be a part of the CYD? Dance Star Company and I am very excited for what is to come. I can’t wait to work with such amazing talent!

Hi, my name is Will Coldwell, I’m 17 years old and from Dartford in Kent. I’m proud to be training full time at The Miskin Theatre, as well as part time at Gillham’s School Of Performing Arts.

I feel very privileged and am excited to be part of the CYD? Dance Star company for 2025. I can’t wait to get started alongside so many talented dancers in a company that I’m honoured to be a part of.

Hi, I’m Viv and I’m very excited to be joining the CYD? dance star team. Thank you Tom, Matt and everyone at CYD? for this opportunity, I’m so grateful! I currently train in dance, acting and singing and want to say a big thank you to all my teachers for the push and for believing in me. In terms of credits, I’m proud to be in the upcoming Disney Snow White movie - shooting it was a dream come true. My passion is to build a career on stage and screen, so I will keep learning from the incredible talent around me and keep dreaming big.

Valentene

Hello I’m Valentene and I’m super excited to be joining the CYD? Dance Star Team. I’m so grateful to be a part of such an amazing company, thank you Matt and Tom for this opportunity! I train at Ignite Dance Company and compete in dance competitions across the UK and at The Dance World Cup as a Team England Soloist, along with other numbers with my team mates. I have danced since I could walk and it’s my passion to express myself through performing and creating. My goal is to continue to grow as a dancer and singer, with a dream someday to become a professional performer and singer on the stage doing what I love most. I can’t wait to be inspired more this year at CYD!

Sophie

Sophie is 14 years old and she has been dancing since the age of three years old. She trains at the McKechnie Scotland Dance Company. She trains in all forms of dance but especially enjoys Musical theatre, modern jazz, contemporary, ballet and Acro. Sophie has won several TDCI and other Championships however, winning British Championship Junior modern, A gold medal for children showdance at the DWC 2024 and most recently becoming runner - up at the Wold Performer is very special to Sophie. Sophie is a hard working and a good team player. She is very dedicated to her dancing and and it is all she wants to do. She gives the very best in everything she does or told to do. She is not afraid to try new skills and she is always ready to learn something new

Hi my name is Sienna Risk, I am 10 years old and have danced at Debut Studios since I was 18 months.

I love to dance all styles, but my favourites have to be jazz, lyrical and commercial!

On stage is where I feel at home, so to be a 2025 CYD? Dance Star is so exciting!

Savannah

🌟Savannah has been dancing since she was one and trains at ElliTe Studios.

She has qualified for the  Dance World Cup every year since 2020 and has qualified for three solos in 2025. She is a solo jazz bronze medalist and a lyrical and ballet world champion.

She’s  currently studying advanced 1 ballet and modern and intermediate tap.

She absolutely loves performing and can't wait to enjoy all the CYD? Dance star opportunities 🌟

Sadie

I’m Sadie, age 12 and I train with @edinburghdanceacademy 🥰

I love everything about dance. My happy place is on stage performing.

I like classical genres as I love the challenge of perfecting technique and I work really hard to be the best I can be in that respect.  Lyrical and Contemporary are also a favourite as I can express an emotion or tell a story. Jazz is just lots of fun! I honestly couldn’t pick between them.

I am very excited for the year ahead as a CYD? Dance Star. Looking forward to meeting new friends, being inspired and having lots of fun 🎉

My name is Ruby Nuttall and I train with McLaren Dance Company. This is my third year as a dance star and I’m so grateful for all the opportunities it has given me working with different choreographers and attending CYD? events around the UK. I’d like to thank Tom, Matt and all the CYD? team for choosing me for the 2025 Dance Star Company and I can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Hi my name is Romanie and I am so excited to join CYD? dance star team and would like to thank Tom, Matt and the team for this amazing opportunity. I train at HIPA Studios and am so grateful for my training I receive there. Having been in various West End and UK and Ireland musical theatre tours, my passion is performing and making people smile.

Nicole

Hi, I'm Nicole and I am 15 years old, I train at McLaren dance company in Rossendale.

I've been dancing since the age of 2 and my favourite dance styles are Jazz, Ballet and Acro.

I've had additional training with associate programmes including Perform like a pro, Northern ballet, Moorland ballet and Northern theatre arts.

My recent dance highlights have been runner up for Inter Jazz at GDO and winning two TDCI Senior Modern Championships.

Hi my name is Nell Turnbull and I am 13 years old. I absolutely love all styles of dancing and I have trained at LMPA since I was 5 years old. I also now train with Ellite Studios and I am the assistant for Jazz with Gabby and I also assist the fabulous Josie Lee!

My name is Minte, I'm a 13 year old versatile dancer and I train at Gold Starz Dance School in many styles from ballet, jazz, commercial, acro to freestyle.

I've won many competitions and awards, performed on main stages and had many wonderful opportunities along the way.

I love attending associate programmes, dance workshops and conventions across the country.

My name is Millie Bowes and i am 18yrs old and live in the North East of England.

I have danced from 2 years old and attended the Academy of Northern Ballet in Leeds for 5yrs on their Centre for Advanced Training.  This gave me a great technical foundation whilst attending VA Performing Arts where I have extended my talent in all genres of dance.

I have been a CYD Dancestar since 2024 which has provided amazing opportunities and experience.  I am thrilled to have gained a place for a second year and look forward to all that this will bring.

Hi my name is Mila, I’m 11yrs old and live in Liverpool.

I’ve been dancing since I was 2yrs old at Extreme Dance Company and dance is my life . I love all styles of dance . Dance has given my confidence, determination and the best friendships I could ever imagine.

I am really excited to have been chosen to be CYD Dance Star and cannot wait to meet the team and to make the most of this amazing opportunity .

Mikey

Mikey is 15 years old and trains at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School.

He has spent the last few years working for Netflix ( Matilda movie musical), Warner bros (Wonka) and Disney (Snow White).

Hi my name is Miah, I’m 11yrs old and I live in Edinburgh.

Dance is my passion and I love every single style!! Ballet, Contemporary and Lyrical are definitely favourites but I also LOVE Jazz - especially the classic styles and anything Fosse/Broadway inspired! It's impossible to choose!

My name is Megan I am 16 years old and I attend Jelli Studios. I am a DWC world champion and a Jessica Jones acro assistant. I’m so so excited for what CYD 2025 has to offer!

Meg

Meg is so excited and proud to be a CYD? Dance Star for her 4th year

Meg started dancing when she was 4 and attended her first CYD? event when she was 8.   Her home dance school is TECDA and she gets additional training from Apex Associates, Sam Stanley and most recently CYD’s very own Tom Shilcock.

Max

I started dancing at the age of 6 and attend Val Armstrong School of Performing Arts for my training. I have performed and competed all over the country and internationally with my dance school. I love attending competitions and conventions and meeting new people and getting to work with different choreographers. I’m currently an ambassador for Squad Dancewear, Alex Peace Photography and an Assistant for Cals Creative. I have attended so many CYD? Conventions over the years and can’t believe I am now a CYD? Dance Star!

Lyza

Lyza is 15years old &bega dancing when she was 7years old.

Lyza currently attends The Brit Performing Arts & Technology School studying Dance full time.

Lyza also attends D&B performing Arts, Art of Dance Academy and is part of multiple associate programmes which include Sean Taafe, Perform Like A Pro, Sam Stanley. Lyza is also a Company Dancer for Olvia Higham.

Madison

My name is Maddie and I am 10 years old. I have been dancing from the moment I could walk, joining in classes at Starlight Dance Academy wherever I could. I absolutely love to perform and have been very lucky to dance on some incredible stages around the world.

I take regular weekly classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Acro studying the BTDA syllabus.

I am a Junior Associate with Birmingham Royal Ballet and attend the Young Dancers Programme with Elmhurst Ballet School.

I love CYD and have been able to attend a few conventions now with the Super Convention being my absolute favourite experience!

I compete in competitions and festivals all over the country and have won many medals and awards including festival championships, bursaries and adjudicators awards. My stand out moments would be World Ballet Champion 2022, World Acro Champion 2023, TDCI British Ballet Champion 2023, AED English Ballet Champion 2024

I am a member and management client of Stagebox and have had some wonderful opportunities, my favourite project was being part of the film “Wicked” which was just the most magical experience.

I am excited to become a CYD dance star for the second year and can’t wait to meet all the other dance stars.

Lucy

I am 14 years old and have attended The Danceworks in Eccles since I was 3.  I train in all styles of dancing but jazz, musical theatre, lyrical and ballet are my favourites.  I love attending the CYD? events and am so incredibly grateful and excited to be a Dance Star and have the opportunity to work with a team of such talented dancers and amazing choreographers.

I'm Lucas age 16 trains with Rebecca's Dance Studios, I can't wait to be part of the CYD Star 2025 team,  I'm so grateful for this opportunity!

Lily

My name is Lily. I train at the award winning Nadines Dance Company. I have danced since the age of 8 and never looked back, I have had so many opportunities through dance, and CYD being one of the biggest parts of my journey, I am excited to start my 5th year as a dance star and extremely grateful for Tom, matt and the CYD team for all they have done for me throughout the years.

Lili Mae

My name is Lili Mae Owens McGuinness and I am 17 years old and this is my third year of being a can you dance star.

I train at dynamix  performing arts in Liverpool and have done since the age of two.

I enjoy all genres of dance but my favourites would be contemporary , MT jazz and commercial.

I love being a can you dance star as it has given me  so many fabulous opportunities and lets me mix with all dancers of all ages across the country who  has a  passion for dance  like myself.

I can’t thank Tom , Matt and all the cyd team and of course my amazing dance principle Miss Nazene for making me the dancer I am today and excited to learn more from this dynamic industry.

Kristen-Leigh

Kristen-Leigh is 15 years old and attends Ignite Dance Company.

Kristen-Leigh has danced since the age of 2 and has achieved titles such as All England Dance Champion and World champion at the Dance World Cup, Janet Cram Senior Winner,

Which led her to win a bursary award after being nominated by the ISTD.

Kristen, most recently won the prestigious UK Young Dancer 2024.

Kristen’s professional credits include BAFTA award winning film ‘Everybody’s Talking about Jamie’

Netflix cinematic box office hit ‘Matilda- The Movie musical’ and Sky FX’s TV show ‘Breeders’.

In 2023, she was cast as Young Gina in Eastenders. Dancer in various Kidz bop videos and promo for Lego.

Kristen-Leigh  was selected as a judge for BBC’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest after successfully representing Team UK’s entry with Freya Skye, for The Junior Eurovision in Armenia.

Kristen’s favourite styles are hip hop, Jazz and contemporary.

She’s delighted to be chosen as a CYD star for 2025.

Kimara-Mai

Kimara-Mai is 11 years old and trains at Ignite Dance Company.

Kimara-Mai trains in all styles from ballet and tap to Hip hop and Jazz.

Kimara-Mai is an All England Dance champion and also a World champion.

Kimara, has various professional credits including being cast in BAFTA award winning film ‘Everybody’s talking about Jamie’.

Cast from 1000’s for the role of ‘Olive’ In Sky’s thriller ‘The Midwich Cuckoos’ and the role of Young Sophya in New Period drama ‘Tom Jones- The foundling’ which aired on ITV in the UK and PBS in the US

Kimara was cast as Young Anna in BBC Eastenders.

She has frequented in various Kidz bop music videos, cast as a Nick Jnr member in Nickelodeon TV Series ‘Dance Along’

Most recently she was cast in music video for Sophie Ellis Bextor single ‘freedom of the night’.

And also hired as a Nickelodeon reporter.

Kimara is super excited to be a member of the CYD star team and can’t wait for the training opportunities and to be inspired by the rest of her CYD team mates.

Katie

My name is Katie Searle i am 16 years old and train at Hannah Hussein at HH dance academy alongside attending additional training with Evolution Training Programme . I am so excited and honoured to be able to call myself a Cyd? Star and I can’t wait to work with the most amazing dancers and choreographers. Im looking forward to seeing what this year brings dancing in the company and I am so grateful for everyone who has helped me achieve this

Joey

Hi! I’m 14 years old and I train at Jordon School of Dance and the Royal Ballet School as a Senior Associate. I’m also an associate with Phoenix Boys. My dance highlight so far is becoming a World Champion Soloist at Dance World Cup and winning many other medals with my team. My professional highlight is appearing in Universal’s ‘Wicked’ alongside Ariana Grande!

Being offered the opportunity to be part the prestigious CYD? company is such an honour, I’m so grateful and so excited! Massive THANK YOU to CYD? and gratitude as always to all of my dance teachers.

Joseph

My name is Joseph Chow & I’m 13 years old and I currently study full time at Elmhurst Ballet School.  Last year I was  lucky enough to be chosen to perform a pas de deux with one of my class mates for Queen Camilla.   I’ve also been part of two dance acts that have performed on live tv as part of the Greatest Dancer TV series and Britain’s Got Talent, reaching the live finals on both occasions.  I’ve represented by country in Dance World Cup and achieved gold for my contemporary solo & was awarded most outstanding mini boys soloist.  This is my fifth year as a CYD? Dance Star, and feel extremely honoured to be part of this amazing team for another year.

Jessica

Hello I’m Jessica I am 14 years old, I live in West Wittering and train at Samantha Jane Dance Company. I am a Dancer, Singer, Actress and Model. I have won championship titles as a soloist regionally and nationally and I have also represented England in the Dance World Cup as a soloist two years in a row and with my dance team. We are very excited to be attending again in 2025. I’ve also been lucky enough to be involved in some really exciting projects recently including working on a dance based TV show for Nickelodeon and a live action music video for Lego Friends. And I’m currently working on some more TV projects coming up for 2025! I am so excited to be a CYD STAR again this year, I love attending regional and super conventions so much! Everyone is so incredibly supportive and kind! All the choreographers and opportunities are incredible for dancers! Im so grateful for this opportunity to represent The CYD Dance Company and I’m so Thankful to Tom, Matt and the CYD team for believing in me. X

My name is Jasmine and I am 15 years old. I train at Cox Dance Academy in Sheffield.

I am a Senior Associate at The Academy of Northern Ballet, and a Senior Associate at Tap Attack.

Jamie

My name is Jamie, and I’m 12 years old. I’m a passionate dancer who began my journey at the age of 8. While my favorite style is acro, I also have a deep love for jazz, lyrical, and commercial dance.

Currently, I’m a full-time student at the Hammond. I was honored to be a semi-finalist on Holland’s Got Talent and have achieved the title of World Champion four times. Dancing is my life, and I’m excited to see where this incredible journey takes me next!

Heidi, 12, has been dancing since she was two and trains at The Worx Dance Theatre Arts. She’s performed in pantomimes at Sunderland Empire and Newcastle Tyne Theatre and is an ambassador for Cal’s Creatives and Katie Brace Creatives. A fierce competitor with a trophy-filled bedroom, she recently signed with KMK Agency. Fun, outgoing, and passionate about dance, she’s thrilled to be part of the CYD? DanceStar Co!

Hi, I’m Heidi & I’m 13. I’m so excited and grateful to be in my second year as a CYD? Dance Star.

Of Dance in Warrington since I was 2, and my favourite styles are jazz and contemporary.  I can’t wait for another amazing year!

Hannah is 18 years old and lives in Birmingham. She trains at The Dance Factory and BOA Academy. Since beginning dance at the age of 5, her proudest achievement has been competing as a soloist at Dance World Cup. She is incredibly grateful to have been chosen for a second year to represent CYD? and can't wait for this year being a member of the Dance Star company. Grace

Hi, I’m Grace! I’m 13 years old and live just outside Glasgow. I’m so excited to be starting my second year as a CYD Dance star! The best part is getting to dance with such talented dancers and perform with them at the CYD Super Convention! I have made so many new friends. I’ve been training at Johnstone Academy of Dance since I was 3, and I’m proud to be a 2x British Modern Champion and a 6x Scottish Champion in Tap, Ballet, and Acro. I’m also involved in Associate programs and take part in as many training days as I can! My dream is to become a professional dancer and choreographer when I’m older. Hi I’m Eva I’m 12 years old and I train at Ignite Dance Company.

I also attend various associate programs and most recently joined Hipa Education.

Hi my names Ellie White I’m 17 years old from Northern Ireland. I started dancing freestyle disco dancing at the age of 3 and that was were my love for dance grew from, over lockdown I learnt my core foundations and lots of different dance styles that has now led to my versatility being my best trait. I have been flying to London every Saturday for over a year now to train with More Training Academy and I am also apart of Philip Birchalls private training company. Events like Can You Dance allow me to get my name out there, as I’m from Northern Ireland so it’s very difficult to attend numerous classes with top choreographers but with CYD bringing them all to one event really benefits me. Performing at CYD Northern Ireland was a surreal experience for me as I worked alongside Sean Taaffe to create a solo, it was also a lovely experience to gain feedback from the Can You Dance team that has really benefited me. I hope to attend one of my top dance colleges this September being Urdang, Wilkes or Laine, coming from a smaller country where dance isn’t big I really adored the fact Can You Dance has now brought over more opportunities for dancers like me. CYD Northern Ireland was the event that helped me gain a full scholarship to the Hammond and I will forever be grateful for that. I am thrilled to be a Can You Dance star and I  look forward to inspiring others through the power of dance.

Hi my name is Eilidh Ramage, I am 18 years old and from Glasgow.  This is my 3^rd year being a part of the CYD? Dance Star Company. CYD has helped me excel as a dancer over the years and I enjoy every minute of it. Hi I’m Darcey I’m 16 and thrilled to be a CYD dance star for the 2nd year.

Im currently studying a level 3 BTEC in dance at Studio 79 along side training at The Dance Factory Tamworth.

Im extremely lucky to be an assistant for Josie Lee travelling around the UK and abroad, I’m also an assistant for EJB choreograph as well as being part of Sam Stanley’s company and Jazz with Gabby associate.

Im excited for my 2nd year as a CYD star working with such a talented group of dancers.

I have trained at Hasland Dance studios in Kent  since I was 6 and I also dance with Sam Stanley associates and the SSCA Dance Company.  I am so grateful for my teachers and the training I receive. I am a Dance World Cup medalist in 2020, 2023, and 2024, and will proudly represent Team England once again this year. I got to the grand final of Britain's Got Talent in 2022 as a member of the Five Star Boys. I have performed in  the West End in shows including Nativity! The musical. My passion is performing and my aspiration is to eventually perform in the West end and on Broadway as a professional.

Angel

Angel is delighted to be chosen as CYD Star for another year. Angel is a British & English Champion and is super excited to have another year of amazing opportunities with CYD. A big thank you to Tom and Matt as always. Xx

Annabel

Hi, my name is Annabel Baker and I train in dance and Acro at Liverpool Central Studios.

I am so excited to continue being part of the CYD DanceStar company this year. I love being part of this inspiring and supportive team and thank you so much to everyone at CYD for giving me this amazing opportunity.

Amy

Amy has always been deeply immersed in the world of dance.

Dancing is her passion .

Her evenings and weekends are filled with dance classes, masterclasses and associate programmes.

Amy started dancing at two and a half years old and trains at Mckechnie School of Dance and Performing Arts in Scotland. She was selected to be in the first ever DWC Jnr Dance Company 2024, and has been invited back for a second year 2025.

Looking ahead Amy plans to go to dance college and then turn her love for dance into a fulfilling career. Her dream is to grace the stage in musicals and to inspire and teach others.

She is extremely grateful to have this amazing opportunity to be a CYD Dance Star and can’t wait to start her CYD journey.

She is forever grateful for the encouragement and support received from her dance teacher’s and family .

Amelie

My name is Amelie. I’m 16 years old and I train at Rhapsody Academy of Dance and BOA.

I’m a senior BBO scholar, Grad Pro associate and AED UK Young Dancer 2024 finalist. My favourite styles of dance are contemporary, jazz and ballet.

I am so grateful for this incredible opportunity as a Dance Star and I can’t wait for what this year has to bring!

Amelia

Hi, I’m Amelia, 11 years old. I’m a full time student at Sylvia Young Theatre School and a competitive dancer with TLDC (Tee Lily Dance Company). I’m also a Sam Stanley Associate.

I’m obsessed with dancing and dance practically everyday. I’m currently studying ballet, pointe, tap, freestyle, street dance, acro dance, musical theatre, singing and drama.

This will be my second year as a CYD? Dance Star. I’ve really enjoyed the training and absolutely loved performing my solo and group routines with the other talented Dance Stars on the main stage at the Super Convention last year. I’m so excited to have been chosen again and really looking forward to the year ahead.

Amelia

Amelia lives in Leeds, and started dance training at an early age. She trains at TBL Academy and also attends various associate programmes. Amelia has a passion for musical theatre and trains with Stagebox UK, who represent her professionally alongside Paradigm Talent Agency in America.

She has a range of professional experience in film, TV and Theatre. Amelia has worked with major brands such as Netflix, Sky, NBC, Lego and Disney.  Amelia performed at last year's CYD? Super Convention which inspired her to audition for the CYD? Dance Star Company, which she is thrilled to be joining this year.

Amara

My name is Amara and to say I am excited and grateful to be chosen as a CYD? dance star for 2025 would be an understatement.

I currently train at Rachel Coad School of Dance and Evolution Training Program which without their training and guidance I would not be where I am today.

I can't wait to be part of the CYD? team for another year continuing learning from some of the greatest teachers, choreographers and industry professionals. A big thank you to everyone at CYD? for this opportunity I'm so excited to see what 2025 holds!

Alexie

Hi! I’m Alexie, I’m 17 years old and I train at Elaine Howarth Centre Stage in Leeds and Capa College in Wakefield.

Throughout this past year I have been lucky enough to receive multiple titles and awards, including Miss Dance of Great Britain 2024 and TDCI World Performer 2024. I am also blessed enough to have received a scholarship to the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts after attending their summer school in 2023.

Becoming a part of the CYD? Dance Star company has been everything I imagined it would be and more. I feel so incredibly humbled to have the opportunity to come back and be part of such an incredible company for a second year. Thank you so much to Tom, Matt and Team - I am extremely grateful and looking forward to training with such professionals for another year.

Alexa

Hi, I’m Alexa and I’m 14 years old.

I live in London and attend Sylvia Young Theatre School and HIPA Studios.

I’m honoured to be a CYD Star for a second year and I’m so grateful to Tom, Matt and everyone at CYD for the training and opportunities they bring.

I’ve been dancing since age 3 and competing since age 6, becoming a TDCI, UKDCC and DWC World Champion along the way.

My favorite styles are street and commercial but I also love jazz and contemporary.

I’ll be looking at full time colleges soon and I’m so excited to start auditioning. My dream is to be a professional dancer.

Abby

Abby first started dancing at 6 years old in Ballet and Tap, then later on added other styles such as Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics and Commercial. She is forever changing her mind as to what style is her favourite, but right now she really loves Ballet and Jazz Tech. Another thing she loves, is singing and acting.

As well as training at her dance studio, Moghimian Arts, Abby also attends the prestigious Royal Ballet Associates.

Abby has recently finished filming a new movie that is set to be released in the near future and is currently in the process of recording for a popular animation series on Sky Kids that she is loving being a part of.

Abby is currently an ambassador for the amazing Cirkis (@cirkisdancewear), who make all of her incredible costumes for competitions, as well as being an ambassador for her favourite dance wear brand Squad (@squaddancewear). Abby is also lucky enough to work alongside Holly (@hollyfrancescaphotography) as HFP girl.

Abby is absolutely delighted to be part of the CYD Dance Star Company and cannot wait to meet everyone and to make lots of amazing memories with the team!
