CYD? began it’s Dance Star Company in 2017 and each year hosts annual auditions that put the dancers through a vigorous audition process providing them with the opportunity to become part of the company.

The CYD? Dance Star company is composed of the finest young dancers in the UK, aged between 8-18 years! Carefully selected to represent Can You Dance? these dancers enjoy unparalleled opportunities, including complimentary training sessions, CYD? merch & uniforms, free entry to all of our events and scholarships towards training programmes as well as access to scholarship auditions at leading performing arts colleges!

Many of our previous dance stars have gone on to achieve amazing things and a couple of dancers, Serena & Ellie have come full circle by returning to teach at the CYD? conventions where it all began!

VALENTENE PANAYI

Hello I’m Valentene and I’m super excited to be CYD? Dance Star for another year, I had the most amazing time last year. I’m so grateful to be a part of such an amazing company, thank you Matt and Tom for this opportunity! I train at Ignite Dance Company and compete in dance competitions across the UK and at The Dance World Cup as a Team England Soloist, along with other numbers with my team mates. I have danced since I could walk and it’s my passion to express myself through performing and creating. My goal is to continue to grow as a dancer and singer, with a dream someday to become a professional performer and singer on the stage doing what I love most. I can’t wait to be inspired more this year at CYD?!

SOPHIE SULLIVAN

I am 15 years old and I love dancing and all things performing. I train full time at McKechnie school of performing arts in Scotland and I love it because I have been going to dance classes since I  was three years old. I am well trained in Jazz, contemporary, ballet, Acrobatics, commercial and musical theatre however, have a lot of room to learn new skills that comes my way in any opportunity. I also compete for championships in all genres across the country. I also train with the Dance World Cup Showstoppers where I get to perform at the DWC gala, this has been one of the best experience for me training with the professional choreographers in the industry. I was also nominated for the prestigious Carl Allan 1/2 awards for junior theatre award 2025. Another of my biggest achievements was being a CYD? Dance Star 2025 which I got the opportunity to train and learn new dance skills from CYD? choreographers.

SIENNA RISK

Hi, I’m Sienna Risk, I’m 11 years old and I’m super excited to be a CYD? Dance Star for the second year running! I have a huge passion for all styles of dance and love every opportunity to perform. I can’t wait for another year filled with incredible training, exciting experiences and amazing opportunities.

SIENNA MARSHALL

Sisi Marshall is a 13-year-old British dancer based in Dubai and a 28-time World Champion. She is a three-time consecutive Dancer of the Globe nominee and the only UAE dancer to receive the honour every year since its launch there.

She has danced for Jessie J at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and starred in three Yas Island TV commercials. She's delighted to be selected to train with TS Training Academies and Josie Lee’s Bloom,

Sisi is performing on the 2026 Move It Main Stage for both Josie and her home studio, Diverse, and has been a main stage dancer for both CYD? and Move It for the last 2 years. A Laine Theatre Arts scholarship winner and international ambassador for Squad Dancewear and Cirkis Costumes. Sienna is proud and excited to join the 2026 CYD? Dance Star company.

SCARLETT GALLAGHER

Hi, my name is Scarlett Gallagher. I am 17 years old and live in Hartlepool in the North East of England. I currently attend Nadine's Dance Company and have been dancing since the age of 11. Before focusing fully on dance, I trained in gymnastics and was part of the Women's British Artistic Elite squad. I later decided to leave gymnastics to pursue my passion for dance. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and am excited to be apart of the CYD? Dance Stars 2026.

SAVANNAH SWIFT

My name is Savannah Swift and I’m 15 years old. I train at ElliTe Studios.

I’m excited to start my 2nd year as a CYD? Dance Star. Thank you so much to Tom, Matt & the team for all these wonderful opportunities. I love attending the CYD? events and am so incredibly grateful to be a CYD? Dance Star and have the opportunity to work with a team of such talented dancers and amazing choreographers.

RUBY REAVILL

Hi, my name is Ruby Reavill and I am 16yrs old. I train at VA Peforming Arts and attend NDC College, and I have been dancing since the age of 5. I absolutely love all genres of dance and have competed on a national and international level. I have a huge passion for performing arts, and have loved attending CYD? events for many years. I am lucky enough to be an ambassador for Squad Dancewear and Alex Peace Photography, and love supporting their brand. I’m so grateful to have been chosen as a CYD? Dance Star and can’t wait to ge started!

ROSIE ATKIN

Hello, my name is Rosie Atkin, I’m currently 18 years old. I have been dancing since I was three years old at LWHS School of Dance, who give me exemplary support and encouragement throughout my dance journey. I have trained in a variety of styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acro and Commercial. Along side this I am currently studying Dance, Drama BTEC and A Level PE at St Mary’s Sixth Form College and am part of Hull Performance Academy. Recently I have represented LWHS and HPA at CYD? and Move It. Giving me the opportunity to perform on main stage.

Some other highlights of my dance journey include being a Royal Ballet Junior and Senior associate, a member of the Tom Shilcock Mentorship Programme (2024-present). I was also lucky enough to successfully audition as a juvenile performer for the QDOS Entertainment, Hull Pantomimes in the years 2017,18,19. I am currently auditioning for professional dance training to further my education in dance and performing arts. I am so grateful for this opportunity to represent CYD? as a Dance Star and am looking forward to showcase my passion and to promote CYD? to other performers.

RIA GAUCI

Hello, my name is Ria Gauci. I am a 15-year-old Maltese dancer who has been training since the age of three. From an early age, dance has been my greatest passion, and I have remained fully committed to developing both my technical ability and artistic expression.

I compete internationally and regularly travel abroad to train and perform. I also attend classes across Europe to broaden my experience and work with a wide range of inspiring teachers and choreographers. Among my achievements are 1st Place in Jazz at GDO 2024, 2nd Place in Jazz and 3rd Place in Lyrical at DanceStar, 3rd Place at Malta’s Got Talent, and 4th Place in Lyrical at DWC 2025.

I am highly dedicated, train consistently, and continually challenge myself to improve. My ambition is to build a professional career in dance, and in the future, I plan to move to the UK full-time to further my training and pursue greater opportunities within the industry.

I am sincerely grateful to Tom, Matt, and the entire CYD? Dance Star Company for this opportunity. I look forward to being part of such an inspiring team and am excited to grow, learn and contribute as a committed member of the company.

QUIN BRADY

I have been a member of The Knights Academy of Dance for over 8 years, training daily and competing regularly as part of their Elite Competition Team. With the help and guidance of my amazing teachers and mentors I have been able to achieve some incredible things – winning both Regional and National titles, representing Team England as a Soloist in the DWC and now the pinnacle of my dance journey so far – becoming a CYD? Dance Star! As well as training with my dance school in Dartford, I also train with Sam Stanley Elite Senior Associates and I am a Premiere Scholars Jazz Associate. Dance is more than a passion it IS my life. I am so grateful to CYD? for this opportunity to learn, grow and be inspired by professionals in the industry as well as  the other Dance Stars!!

OLLIE LOVEDAY

Hey, my name is Ollie and I train with Julie Scotts Academy where I have been since the age of five. I also attend London Studio’s and Sam Stanley Associates. I have been fortunate to perform and make it to the finals of the TV show BGT. This brought further opportunities where we performed at music festivals, the TV show ‘Blue Peter’, and even danced at Wembley.

I feel so lucky to have been selected as a CYD? Dance Star 2026. I have always attended and been inspired by both the regionals and super convention, and can’t wait to meet everyone, work with the amazing CYD? team and learn from some of the best choreographers.

OLIVIA SALTER

Hi, I’m Olivia, I’m 12 years old and I train at El Dance Studios, where I take weekly classes in a range of styles. I don’t have a favourite — I just love to dance!

2026 is an exciting year. I competed at my first TDCI Champ of Champs and have qualified as a soloist to represent Team England at the Dance World Cup Finals. I’ll also be taking part in my first Global Dance Open competition — I can’t wait as I love any opportunity to perform on stage!

I enjoy learning new choreography, so love the CYD? Events. I feel incredibly proud and grateful to be part of the CYD? Dance Star Company, dancing alongside such inspiring and talented performers. I am looking forward to learning from them and working with some of the best teachers, choreographers and industry professionals.

NICOLE BENNETT

Hi, I'm Nicole and I am 17 years old, I train at McLaren dance company in Rossendale. I've been dancing since the age of two and my favourite dance styles are Jazz, Ballet and Acro. I've had additional training with associate programmes including Perform Like a Pro, Northern ballet, Moorland ballet and Northern theatre arts.

My recent dance highlights have been competing at TDCI Championships and achieving champion titles for Senior Modern, Song & Dance and Ballet, and successfully gaining a place at this year's Miss Dance finals.

I'm so grateful to get this incredible opportunity to be a part of the CYD? Dance Star company for a second year,  thank you so much to Matt, Tom and the CYD? Team for this experience, I can't wait to dance with everyone

NIAF NUNN

Hi, I’m Niaf Nunn and I’m 14 years old. I dance at VA Performing Arts and have danced since the age of three. I have performed internationally and nationally with my dance school at events such as DWC and BGT. I also compete regularly, and my proudest achievements are becoming British Champion, Overall Champion of Champions, and World Champions with my team. Having being a CYD? Dance Star in the past, I am looking forward to the opportunities this year. I’m so grateful to have been chosen and so excited to meet the other Dance Stars and train with so many talented dancers!

NELL TURNBULL

Hi my name is Nell Turnbull and I am 14 years old. I absolutely love all styles of dancing and I have trained since I was five years old. I train with Ellite Studios and LMPA and take part in the following associate programs which I love, Bloom by Josie Lee, YBTC ballet, Jazz with Gabby and NTA. I am also lucky enough to be Jazz with Gabby’s Assistant and one of the amazing Josie Lee’s assistants.

MINTE KUZMINSKAITE

Hi! I’m Minte, I’m 14 years old, and I’m a versatile dancer training at Gold Starz Dance School. I’m always looking for ways to grow and I absolutely love pushing myself in every style, from the technique of Ballet and Jazz to the energy of Commercial, Acro and Freestyle!

I am so incredibly honoured to be a CYD? Dance Star for the second year in a row! I loved every single second of my first year – the Regionals, the Super Convention, the main stages, the training days, and the amazing energy of the whole team! It really was a dream come true, and I’m so grateful to Tom, Matt, and the CYD? Team for believing in me again. I can’t wait to get back to training and dancing with you all for another amazing year!

MILA ROBINSON

Hi, I’m Mila and I’m a 12-year-old dancer from Liverpool. I’ve been dancing since I was two years old and I train and perform with Extreme Dance Company. Dancing is my absolute favourite thing to do and it’s helped me grow in confidence and express myself.

I love learning and performing all styles of dance, especially Lyrical and Commercial. This is my second year as a CYD? Dance Star and I’m so excited to work again with the amazing team. I can’t wait to keep improving, challenge myself and make more unforgettable memories doing what I love most.

MIAH DARLING

Hi my name is Miah, I’m 12yrs old and I live in Edinburgh. Dance is my absolute passion and I love every single style!! If I had to choose then Ballet, Contemporary and Lyrical are definitely favourites but I also LOVE Jazz – especially the classic styles and anything Fosse/Broadway inspired!

As well as training at my dance studio, Moghimian Arts, I am also a Y7 Associate with the Royal Ballet School. I’m also lucky enough to be part of an amazing associate scheme – Bloom, by Josie Lee. I feel so lucky to be continuing as a CYD? Dance Star for another season and can't wait to meet all the new incredible dancers who will join our exciting 2026 team. I can't wait to get started and make the most of this amazing opportunity for another year – thank you so much CYD?!

MEGAN NEWTON

My name is Meg I am 17 years old and I attend Jelli Studios Theatre Arts College. I am a DWC world champion and a Jessica Jones acrobatics assistant. This is my fourth year as a Dance Star and I’m so excited for what CYD? 2026 has to offer!

MEGAN FINAN

I am thrilled to be representing CYD? as a Dance Star for the 5th year. I have had so many amazing opportunities and have made some incredible friends thanks to CYD?. I train at The Emma Coombs Dance Academy and Capa College. And my favourite dance styles are probably Jazz and Commercial – but love to dance to anything really.

MAX WALTON

I first started dancing at the age of six and attend Val Armstrong School of Performing Arts and Stockton Riverside College for my training. I have performed and competed all over the country and internationally with my dance school, I love attending competitions and conventions, I also like meeting new people and getting to work with different choreographers. I’m currently an ambassador for Squad Dance wear and Alex Peace Photography ambassador! I have attended so many CYD? Conventions over the years and have enjoyed every minute! So lucky and privileged to be a CYD? Dance Star for a second year!

MATILDA GILLESPIE

Hi, I'm Matilda and I'm 14. I have been dancing at The Allegro Theatre Dance Academy from the age of four and its here that I have gained the skills and confidence to join this incredible company. I'm truely grateful to all of my teachers for their support and encouragement. I also train with various associate programmes including Perform Like a Pro, Tom Shilcock Mentorship and The Yorkshire Classical Associates. I enjoy all styles of dance so I am very excited to be part of this fantastic team and look forward to meeting and dancing with such talented dancers from across the country.

MADISON DAVIS

My name is Maddie and I am 11 years old. I am excited to be a CYD? Dance Star for the 3rd year and can’t wait to meet the other stars.

A little about me… I attend Starlight Dance Academy and Stagebox. I am a Royal Ballet JA, Elmhurst Young Dancer and Tring Park Associate. I am currently playing the lead role Matilda in Matilda the U.K. and Ireland tour. It really is a dream come true and such an honour to play one of the most incredible roles in theatre.

I have won many titles with my solos including TDCI British Ballet Champion, Global Ballet and Lyrical Champion, Dance World Cup Ballet and Acro Champion, All England Ballet, Modern, Tap, Character and Musical Theatre Champion. In 2025 I was awarded ‘Rising Star’ from the Global Dance Open competition.

I absolutely love to dance and perform and I can wait to see what CYD? has in store this year.

LYZA LITCHMORE

Lyza is a passionate dancer who enjoys performing in all styles,  she is currently training at Wilkes Academy, where she is completing a 2/3yr diploma and is currently in her first year.

Lyza previously trained at The Brit School where she gained a distinction in Dance in KS4. Lyza has also been a member of multiple associate programmes including Taaffe Training, Sam Stanley, Prospect Training, Tom Shilcock, OHC amongst many more.

Lyza has competed at a number of competitions within a variety of styles whilst winning multiple titles including UDC overall winner 2022 winning a trip to train in New York at the famous Broadway dance studio.

Lyza is super grateful for this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to train with you all and the other CYD? Dance Stars throughout 2026.

LUCY MCLOUGHLIN

Hi, I’m Lucy McLoughlin and I am 15 years old. I have trained with The Danceworks in Eccles since I was three in all styles of dancing but jazz, musical theatre, lyrical and ballet are my favourites.  Thank you so much to Tom, Matt and the CYD? team for choosing me to be a Dance Star for a second year – I am so proud and grateful. I have loved being part of the team and all the amazing opportunities I have been given and lovely friends I have made and am so excited for the year ahead.

LOLA FRANKLAND

Hi, I'm Lola! I am 17 years old and I live in the north east of England. I have been dancing for 13 years and I train at NDC College as well as training at my dance school, Downing Dance Academy, where I have been since the age of five. Both of these have given me amazing training, foundations and endless opportunities to grow as a performer. I always love attending CYD? events and I am super excited to become a part of the CYD? Dance Star Company. And can't wait to attend these amazing events as a CYD? Dance Star!

LILY STRAUGHAN

Hi my name is Lily Straughan, I train at NDC College and Nadine's Dance Company, I started dancing when I was 8 years old and have been a CYD? Dance Star for 6 years, I have loved every minute of being a Dance Star and can’t wait to make more memories being a part of the team.

LILI MAE OWENS

Lili Mae has been dancing since the age of three at Nazene Danielle Dance Dynamix School now known as NDHQ. She is a versatile dancer but mostly loves contemporary dance and musical theatre jazz styles. She is currently studying level six musical theatre and DDE in modern dance. Her dream is to perform on the West End some day .

KIMARA-MAE PETIT

Kimara-Mai is 12 years old and trains at Ignite Dance Company, studying all styles of dance from ballet and tap to hip-hop and jazz. She is an All England Soloist Champion and a World Champion, demonstrating her passion and versatility as a performer.

KATIE SEARLE

My name is Katie Searle and I am 17 years old. I train with HH dance academy as well as attending additional training with evolution training programme. I am currently completing my BTEC in performing arts at The Worx College and I so excited to be able to continue my time as CYD? Dance Star for another year. I am looking forward to seeing what this year offers and I'd like to thank everyone involved in providing me with this opportunity.

JOSEPH CHOW

My name is Joseph Chow and I’m 14 years old. I currently study full time at Elmhurst Ballet School. Previously, I was lucky enough to be chosen to perform a pas de deux with one of my class mates for Queen Camilla. I’ve also been part of two dance acts that have performed on live TV as part of the Greatest Dancer TV series and Britain’s Got Talent, reaching the live finals on both occasions. I’ve represented my country in Dance World Cup and achieved gold for my contemporary solo and was awarded most outstanding mini boys soloist. This is my sixth year as a CYD? Dance Star, and feel extremely honoured to be part of this amazing team for another year.

JOEY UNITT

Hi! I’m Joseph and I’m 16 years old. I train with Blommaert Ballet School full time. Some of my dance highlights have been winning gold medals as a soloist at Global Dance Open and Dance World Cup. My professional highlight is appearing in the Wicked movies alongside Ariana Grande! Being offered the opportunity to be part of the prestigious CYD? Dance Star Company for another year is an honour. Massive thank you to CYD? and gratitude as always to my amazing dance teachers at Blommaert Ballet School.

JESSICA TAYLOR

Hello, I’m Jessica and I am 15 years old. I live in West Wittering and train at Samantha Jane Dance Company. I am a Dancer, Singer, Actress and Model. I have won championship titles as a soloist regionally and nationally and I have also represented England in the Dance World Cup three times with my dance team. We are very excited to be attending again in 2026. I’ve also been lucky enough to be involved in some really exciting projects including working on a dance based TV show for Nickelodeon and a live action music video for Lego Friends. And I’m currently working on a Miss Saigon production where I’m so thrilled to be playing the role of Kim!

I am so excited to be a CYD? Dance Star again this year, I love attending the CYD? Regionals and CYD? Super Convention so much! Everyone is so incredibly supportive and kind. All the choreographers and opportunities are incredible for dancers. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to represent the CYD? Dance Star Company and I’m so thankful to Tom, Matt and the CYD? team for believing in me.

JASMINE YAU

My name is Jasmine, I am 16 years old and train at Cox Dance Academy in Sheffield. I am beyond excited and incredibly proud to be a CYD? Dance Star for the third year! I cannot wait to see what this year has in store. The training days are always so inspiring, and I am so looking forward to meeting all the other unbelievably talented Dance Stars.

IRIA ALVAREZ PEREZ

Hello, I'm Iria and I'm 15 years old. I love dancing. I've been dancing since I was four years old. This is a dream come true, I dreamed of doing this for years. Thank you so much.

HEIDI ROGERS

Hi, I’m Heidi and I’m 14. I’m so grateful to Tom, Matt and the team to be a CYD? Dance Star for the third year. The opportunities and training are the best, and enhance all my training at Sarah Royle Studios in Warrington, where I’ve danced since the age of two! I’m so thankful for Miss Sarah’s constant support. Jazz is my favourite style but I just love to perform and I’m so excited for 2026!

HEIDI DOWLING

Heidi, 13, has been dancing since she was two and trains at Lumsdale Theatre Arts, Arts North Studios and recently started TS Training Academy. She has performed in pantomimes at Sunderland Empire and Newcastle Tyne Theatre and is currently in rehearsal for the role of Tomika in School Of Rock at The Fire Station, Sunderland. A fierce competitor with a trophy-filled bedroom, Heidi is fun, outgoing and passionate about dance. She is thrilled to be part of the CYD? Dance Star Company for the 2nd year running.

GUILHERME FERNANDES

My name is Guilherme Fernandes, I am 17 years old, and I have been dancing since I was eight. From a very young age, dance became more than just a hobby — it became my passion and the centre of my life. I am currently a dancer at RDS Company, where I continue to train and grow both technically and artistically. With the company, I will also be performing at Can You Dance?, which is another exciting step in my journey.

Throughout my career, I have competed in many national and international competitions. I am a multiple-time World Champion at the Dance World Cup, an achievement that reflects my dedication, hard work, and love for what I do. I have also participated in several television programs, gaining valuable performance experience. In classical training, I have completed Ballet exams Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as the Intermediate Foundation, all with distinction.

Dance is not just something I do — it is who I am.

GRACE QUEEN

Grace is a talented young performer, who is proud to be on the Josie Lee Assistant team. Grace trains with McLaren Dance Company and Dawn’s Dance Academy, as well as a member of the Philip Birchall Key Company. As a Prima Technique Assistant, she continues to develop her technical excellence. A two-time World Champion, two-time British Champion, and ten-time Scottish Champion, she brings passion and determination to everything she does. Based in Scotland, she frequently travels across the UK to further her training and gain valuable mentoring and performance experience, ensuring she continues to grow as an artist and performer. Her favourite styles are all things jazz and tap, and she’s developing a growing love for commercial dance. Always eager to learn and inspire others, she strives to share her enthusiasm and creativity both on stage and in the studio.

Hi, my name is Evie Lees. I am 17 years old and train at McLaren Dance Company. Thank you for this opportunity for the second year running!

EVIE CARR

Hi, my name is Evie Carr and I am 17 years old. I train at Rare Studios, Liverpool and North Wales School of Dancing. I am so grateful to be a CYD? Dance Star for the 5th year. I have loved the past four years and I can't wait to relive it all again this year. I just love the CYD? events and it's a dream to represent CYD?. Thank you for this opportunity!

EVELYN PICKLES

Hi I’m Evelyn. I’m 13 years old and I have trained at Martinicca Theatre School in Leeds since the age of three.

My favourite styles of dance are Jazz, Lyrical and Ballet and I love competing at championships and festivals. I have had additional training at Northern Ballet and I am currently an associate at Northern Theatre Arts and Perform like a Pro.

I have been dancing since I was four years old, and from that moment I knew that dance was what I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. Since then, dance has become my greatest passion and an essential part of who I am. I currently train at Academia Gimnoarte and RDS Company, where I continue to develop my technique and artistic expression. My favourite dance style is lyrical, as it allows me to combine emotion and storytelling through movement.

Throughout my journey, I have been nominated three times as a Dancer of the Globe . In 2023, I became World Champion in Show Dance. In 2024, I achieved the titles of European Champion in Acro Dance and Show Dance, as well as Vice World Champion in Acro Dance. During the 2026 qualification rounds, all of my solo performances scored above 90.5 out of 100 points. I will also be participating in the CYD? Regionals in Nottingham 2026, continuing to pursue new opportunities and challenges in the dance world.

EMILY KERR

My name is Emily Kerr, I am 11 years old and have been dancing since I was four years old. I train at Hunter School Of Dance in Glasgow. I love all styles of dance and I am so grateful for this opportunity to be a CYD? Dance Star.

ELLIE WHITE

Hi, my name is Ellie White and I currently train at Addict Dance Academy. I am so happy and excited to be going into my second year as a CYD? Dance Star! I am ready for another year of hard work and exciting times, so thankful always for these incredible opportunities!

ELIZABETH HARRIS

Elizabeth is 16 years old and trains at Bella Danza Studios in Macclesfield. She has trained there since age three and is currently studying Advance 2 Ballet and Advanced 1 Modern exam syllabus. She frequently competes across both ballet and modern genres with highlights so far being gold medals in ballet, lyrical and commercial at the DWC, YAGP Semi Finals in Barcelona and GDO Finals in both Holland and England.

Elizabeth is a passionate and dedicated dancer who loves being on stage and embraces every opportunity to perform. With dreams of performing on London’s West End, Elizabeth can’t wait to continue developing her skills with the incredible CYD? Dance Stars team. Thank you to CYD? for this amazing opportunity.

ELIZA LEEVY HARDMAN

I'm Eliza, age 13 and I train at the Cheshire Theatre School. I love all styles of dance especially contemporary, commercial and jazz. I'm the assistant of the unreal Alex Ryan. I am so excited to get started as a CYD? Dance Star because it is such a good opportunity to learn from new choreographers and dancers with the same interests as me. I love doing the CYD? Conventions so I am so grateful for this experience too. I can’t wait to dance with such talented people to create new pieces and overall just work my hardest, improve my dance skills and have fun while doing so.

DEXTER HAWKINS

Hi, my name is Dexter Hawkins and I am 16 years old. I’m super excited to have been chosen to become a CYD? Dance Star this year and am super excited for the year ahead. I have been dancing since the age of seven in which I have competed and performed on various platforms nationally and globally. I train with Marlene’s School of Dancing as well as Perform Like a Pro associate programme, training in street, ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, commercial and acro. My favourite styles are commercial, contemporary and jazz. In the future, I would love to begin my professional training and work in the industry along side my favourite artists and choreographers.

DARCEY WOOLDRIDGE

Hi, I’m Darce.y I’m 17 and thrilled to be a CYD? Dance Star for the third year. I'm currently studying a level 3 BTEC in dance at Studio 79 along side training at EJB Dance Company. I'm extremely lucky to be an assistant for Josie Lee travelling around the UK and abroad, as well as being part of Sam Stanley’s company and Jazz with Gabby associate. I'm excited for my third year as a CYD? Dance Star working with such a talented group of dancers.

I can’t thank Tom, Matt and the team enough for all the opportunities I’ve had in the last 12 months and can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.

DANIELA MINIÑO

My name is Daniela, I’m 16 years old and I’m super excited to be a CYD? Dance Star 2026. I have been dancing since I was 10 years old in Dansá Performing and now I’m part of the first season of RDS Company too. Dance is everything for me – when I dance I feel free! My favourite style of dance is jazz but I love all the styles. I have attended CYD? for a couple of years now and it is the main highlight of the year always, so now to be a CYD? Dance Star is a dream come true. I’m a Global Dance Open World Champion soloist in 2025 and a Dance World Cup two times Vice World Champion soloist in 2025, looking forward to this year's finals!

Hi, I'm Daisy and I am 16 years old. I attend Nazene Danielle School of Performing Arts, which is a full time performing arts high school in Liverpool. I am studying towards my GCSE’s as well as a BTEC in Performing Arts. Miss Nazene is my Principal and has trained me since the age of eight. This will be Beau’s second year as a CYD? Dance Star. He is excited to spend another year with this amazing team and loves all the opportunities being a CYD? Dance Star brings. Beau has trained in Hasland Dance studios in Kent since the age of six. He also trains with Sam Stanley associates and the SSCA Dance Company.

AVA ROBINSON

Hi, I’m Ava. I’m 15 years old and I train with Edinburgh Dance Academy. I love all styles of dance and really enjoy performing on stage.

I’m so proud to have represented Scotland at the Dance World Cup and Global Dance Open several times. I was also a UK Young Dancer Finalist in 2024 and recently had the most amazing experience participating in the YGP in Portugal and was absolutely delighted to place in the Top 12 in Senior Contemporary. I have always enjoyed attending the CYD? events. I love learning and being inspired by all the different choreographers and dancers there.

AVA JOHNSTON

My name is Ava Johnston and I am 16 years old. I train at Anlaby studios in Hull. I am also a member of the Tom Shilcock Mentorship Programme and an associate for Jazz with Gabby and a member of the ‘JAZZIES’ team. ASTYN HANNAH

Hi, I’m Astyn, I am nine years old and I have been training at Unity Dance Project in Inverclyde since I was four. I train in various genres of dance, but my favourite has to be jazz and lyrical. I just love to perform and dance, it’s my happy place. Being a dancer has brought so many friendships, opportunities and special memories that I know I will carry forever. My highlights have been winning gold and silver medals at DWC24 and GDO25. I was also honoured to be awarded ‘Star of the Future’. All of this would never have been possible without the amazing training and support of my teacher.

My name is Aoife, I am 11 years old and I have trained at Ace Performers in Sunderland since I was three years old. I attend additional training at TS Mentorship Programme and TS Academies, Newcastle. I love attending CYD? Regionals & the CYD? Hi, my name is Annalese, I’m 15 years old and I train at SB Ballet and dance studios. I am a Royal Ballet Senior Associate and I attend the Tom Shilcock Training Academy in Newcastle. I have always loved to dance since the age of three and I do lots of styles but ballet, modern and lyrical are my favourites. I love going to CYD? Events and I'm so grateful for this opportunity.

Hi, my name is Annabel and I train in dance and Acro at Liverpool Central studios. ANNA MORRISON

Hey everyone! My name’s Anna and I’m so excited to be a 2026 CYD? Dance Star! I’m 11 years old and absolutely love to dance. You can find me training at Dawn's Dance Academy and I'm also a Cals Creative Assistant which I love so much. Dancing is such a huge part of my life and I can’t wait for all the amazing opportunities that being a CYD? Dance Star will bring. I train in all styles but Jazz or Lyrical is a personal fave. After starting dancing just before I was two with lots of confidence and sassy faces this is a perfect experience for me. I’m especially excited to meet new people and know I will learn so much to help me grow. It’s safe to say I’m buzzing!

ANGEL WOOD

Hi, I’m Angel Imani, 16, and I train at Nadine’s Dance Company and NDC College. I’m a dancer, singer, actress and model, with championship titles in Ballet, Modern and Song & Dance. I’ve represented England at the Dance World Cup in Tap, Modern and commercial  and won many titles including TDCI Juvenile British Ballet and Junior Modern Champion.

I no longer compete but I’ve trained in LA for the past three summers and have been a CYD? Dance Star for five years. I’ve always loved performing and assisting at CYD? Regionals, and I’m so excited to represent the CYD? Dance Star Company.

AMELIE BRIDGES

Hi, my name is Amelie Bridges. I am so excited and honoured to have been chosen as a CYD? Dance Star for 2026. My favourite styles of dance are Contemporary, Jazz and Ballet. I train at Rhapsody Academy of Dance, am currently in year 12 at BOA and attend Associate programmes with Sam Stanley and Grad Pro. This is my second year as a CYD? Dance Star and I have loved every moment of it and I am looking forward to meeting everybody at the CYD? events!

AMELIA THOMPSON

Hi, I’m Amelia Uma Thompson, 12 years old. I’m really excited to have been chosen to be a CYD? Dance Star for the third year. I study full time at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and I am a competitive dancer at Tee Lily Dance Company. I also study dance at The School For Stars. I have been a Sam Stanley Associate for the last two years and I have a dance scholarship at Company 14.

I was lucky enough to win two scholarships to Laine Theatre Arts, one of which I won at the CYD? Super Convention. Last year I won the IDTA Scholarship for Street Dance. I am so very proud to have achieved a distinction in the IDTA Intermediate Classical Ballet exam at age 12. Performing, dancing, singing and acting are my life. I literally dance every day. I don’t think there is anything else I would rather do. I absolutely loved performing my solo, group routines with the Dance Stars and routines with the Sam Stanley Associates and my dance team TLDC at the CYD? Super Convention last year. I can’t wait to perform on the main stage at Move it 2026.

Being a member of the CYD? Dance Stars Company is incredible. The training days and opportunities are amazing. I have made so many great friends and love dancing with these brilliant talented dancers. I can’t wait to see what the 2026 season brings.

AMELIA MINTO

Amelia is based in Leeds, and began her dance training at a young age. She trains at TBL Academy and also attends various associate programmes. Amelia has a strong passion for musical theatre and also trains with Stagebox UK, who represent her professionally alongside Paradigm Talent Agency in the US. She has a range of professional experience in film, TV and Theatre and has worked with major brands such as Netflix, Sky, NBC, Lego and Disney. Amelia is absolutely delighted to be returning for her second year as a member of the CYD? Dance Star Company and extremely grateful to Tom, Matt and the CYD? team for the opportunity.

AMARA GAVRIEL

My name is Amara, and to say I am excited and grateful to have been chosen as a 2026 Dance Star with Can You Dance? would be an understatement! I currently train at Rachel Coad School of Dance and Evolution Training Program, and without their continued training and guidance, I truly wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m so thankful for their constant support and belief in me. I’m incredibly proud to be part of the CYD? team again, continuing to learn and grow alongside some of the most inspiring teachers, choreographers, and industry professionals.

ALEXA DRAKES

Hi, I’m Alexa and I’m 15 years old. I live in London and attend Sylvia Young Theatre School and HIPA Studios. I’m honoured to be a CYD? Dance Star for a third year and I’m so grateful to Tom, Matt and everyone at CYD? for the training and opportunities they bring. I’ve been dancing since age three and competing since age six, becoming a TDCI, UKDCC and DWC World Champion along the way. My favourite styles are hiphop and commercial but I also love jazz and contemporary. I am so excited to be starting Wilkes Academy in September. My dream is to be a professional dancer on the West End and on tours for artists.

ABBY WALLACE

Abby first started dancing at six years old in Ballet and Tap, then later on added other styles such as Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatics and Commercial. Another huge hobby of Abby’s is singing and acting where she has been a part of many different projects. She has done work for Netflix, BBC and Sky Kids playing various different roles. Abby is currently an ambassador for the amazing Cirkis (@cirkisdancewear), who make all of her incredible costumes for competitions. Abby was also lucky enough to gain a place as part of “Bloom by Josie Lee” where she trains monthly. Alongside this Abby is also a HFP girl working closely with Holly to create the best pictures. Abby is absolutely delighted to be part of the CYD? Dance Star Company for another year and cannot wait to meet everyone and to make lots of amazing memories with the team!
